What can’t I put in a skip?
We can’t accept fridges, freezers, oils, tyres, televisions, asbestos, gas bottles, or paint.
Can I mix different waste types in a skip?
Yes you can, just avoid the items listed above.
Do I need to be there for delivery of a skip?
If you want the skip putting in a certain place in Uttoxeter it is always better if someone is in, but other than that no you don’t need to be there.
When do I pay and how can I pay for skip hire?
On delivery please. Either cash to the driver or call our office to make a card payment.
Do I need a permit from the council for a skip?
If the skip is on your own drive or property in Uttoxeter you do not need a permit. However, if your skip is to be placed on public property in Uttoxeter, i.e. the road, highway or grass verge. We will need to arrange a permit with your local council. For Stoke-on-Trent we’ll need 3 working days notice and for Staffordshire we’ll need 5 working days notice. Can I load a skip whilst the driver waits?
Yes, if all of your material is ready we can wait whilst you load the skip, and take it back with us from Uttoxeter.
