Skip Permit
Permits: If the skip is on your own drive or property, you do not need a permit. If placed on public property (road, highway, or grass verge), we will arrange a council permit for you. (Stoke-on-Trent requires 3 working days' notice; Staffordshire requires 5 working days).

What items can't I put in a 2 tonne skip?
We can’t accept fridges, freezers, oils, tyres, televisions, asbestos, gas bottles, or paint.
Can I mix different waste types in a 2 tonne skip?
Yes you can, just avoid the restricted items listed above. It is ideal for mixed soil, rubble, or general domestic waste.
Do I need to be there for delivery of a skip?
If you want the skip putting in a certain place it is always better if someone is in, but other than that no you don’t need to be there.
When do I pay and how can I pay for skip hire?
On delivery please. Either cash to the driver or call our office to make a card payment.
Do I need a permit from the council for a 2 tonne skip?
If the skip is on your own drive or property you do not need a permit. However, if your skip is to be placed on public property, we will need to arrange a permit with your local council.
How long can I keep a 2 tonne skip for?
Skip hire is for up to 3 weeks. If you need a skip on a long term basis please contact us.
Do 2 tonne skips have a drop door?
No, our 2 tonne mini skips do not have drop doors as they have a low profile that is easy to load over the sides. We do provide drop doors on our larger 5 tonne and 10 tonne skips.
Can I load the skip whilst the driver waits?
Yes, if all of your material is ready we can wait whilst you load the skip, and take it back with us.

Do I need to be there when the skip is collected?
