What can’t I put in a skip?

We can’t accept fridges, freezers, oils, tyres, televisions, asbestos, gas bottles, or paint.

Can I mix different waste types in a skip?

Yes you can, just avoid the items listed above.

Do I need to be there for delivery of a skip?

If you want the skip putting in a certain place it is always better if someone is in, but other than that no you don’t need to be there.

When do I pay and how can I pay for skip hire?

On delivery please. Either cash to the driver or call our office to make a card payment.

Do I need a permit from the council for a skip?

If the skip is on your own drive or property you do not need a permit. However, if your skip is to be placed on public property, i.e. the road, highway or grass verge. We will need to arrange a permit with your local council. For Stoke-on-Trent we’ll need 3 working days notice and for Staffordshire we’ll need 5 working days notice. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us .

How long can I keep a skip infor?

Skip hire is for up to 3 weeks. If you need a skip on a long term basis please contact us.

Do all skips have a drop door?

We do drop doors on the 5 tonne skip and the 10 tonne skip . But please ask if you need one as they don’t all have them.

Can I load a skip whilst the driver waits?

Yes, if all of your material is ready we can wait whilst you load the skip, and take it back with us.

How much rubbish does a skip hold?

Our skips can hold; 2 tonne skip holds 25 to 35 bin bags of rubbish*. 4 tonne skip holds 45 to 50 bin bags* 5 tonne skip holds 55 to 65 bin bags* 10 tonne skip holds 80 to 100 bin bags*

Do I need to be there when the skip is collected?

On collection just leave the skip clear to get to please.
